Iran and the United States are anticipated to return to oblique talks within the coming days amid a push by the European Union to interrupt a months-long deadlock within the negotiations to reinstate a 2015 nuclear pact.

Israel shouldn’t be a celebration to the negotiations. But its considerations concerning the end result – and its long-standing threats to take unilateral army motion towards Iran – carry weight in Western capitals.

“With the expected or possible resumption of the nuclear talks, we will continue to work together with the United States and other countries in order to make our position clear and influence the crafting of the deal – if there is such,” Gantz informed reporters.

Israel has drawn nearer in recent times to US-aligned Arab states which share its considerations over Iran and it has supplied them protection cooperation.

Reiterating his disclosure from final week of an air protection alliance with unidentified regional companions, Gantz mentioned there have been “additional operational dimensions” to the cooperation. He didn’t elaborate.
