Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district on Wednesday stated they’ve arrested the important thing accused in a case of gang-rape of a 55-year-old Dalit girl in Jewar three days in the past.
The girl was allegedly raped by 4 males, who dragged her to the open fields close to her village at gunpoint and took turns to power themselves on her on Sunday morning.
One of the accused was arrested on Monday.

Sections underneath the stringent Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 have additionally been invoked within the case, they added.
Mahendra, based on the police, was additionally booked for home trespassing and theft previously.
He is the one named accused within the case. Of the three different accused, one was arrested on Monday after the rape survivor recognized him from an image proven to her by the police.
