Police believe Belmore shooting linked to Mahmoud Ahmad’s murder


The nephew of Mahmoud ‘Brownie’ Ahmad has been killed in a deadly taking pictures simply two weeks after his uncle’s assassination.

Emergency providers had been referred to as to Knox Street in Belmore within the early hours of Saturday morning to seek out Rami Iskander, 24, with a number of gunshot wounds to his torso.

A subsequent door neighbour who’s a nurse tried to carry out CPR on the 24-year-old, members of the family on the scene informed the Herald.

The sufferer’s spouse, who’s pregnant with the couple’s second baby, was taken to Canterbury Hospital on Saturday morning for a welfare test. It is known she and the couple’s two-year-old had been dwelling on the time of the taking pictures at their rented duplex.

Forensic officers are on the scene and detectives have begun an investigation.

It’s the second deadly taking pictures in Sydney’s south-west this week, and the third inside the previous three weeks.

Two burnt-out vehicles had been present in close by Croydon Park and Bexley North a short while after the taking pictures, with police probing a connection.
